What a wonderful weekend! Our FBC Dance Team took classes from some industry greats in Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Musical Theater and then competed at night.
2nd Place awarded to: Soloist Sammy; Soloist Bella; Duo Kennedy/Becky; Duo Riley/Sarah; Jr Ballet Team; Int Jazz Team; Hip Hop Team; Production. 2nd Place AND received STYLE award: Duo Chloe/Mack & Int Lyrical Team. 1st Place awarded to: Soloist Alyssa; Soloist Makayla; Duo Ava/Juliana; Duo Makayla & Alyssa AND they received High Score 1st Place out of all Senior duo/trio's regardless of style. 1st Place AND won their Style/Age/Category awarded to: Int/Sr Ballet team; Sr Tap Team; Sr Jazz Team. Sr Contemporary was awarded a High 1st AND placed 3rd in Senior Category regardless of style. Soloist Julianna received a 1st Place and was awarded Miss Teen 10th Runner up!! FBC was also awarded 4 special Director's Pick awards for Duo team of Ava/Julianna, Jr Ballet, Int Lyrical and Production! Even more exciting news for a few of our Dancers. In each classroom, the instructors single out one student in each age group to give a National Scholarship to. This means that these dancers get to attend a week long National's convention at Myrtle Beach for free! Alyssa received her's for Ballet, Sammy for Contemporary, and Becky for Musical Theater. And our very own Bella received the Clifton Scholarship which is for a week long intensive at Keith Clifton's studio in CA. Bella auditioned in the Senior room and was chosen to perform in the Wrap-it up Ceremony on Sunday where she was then awarded this amazing scholarship to attend classes with this industry great.
